Yes, it was a dream come true, some idealistic amateur radio enthusiasts who spent their valuable time to this wonderful hobby made the decision to call and gather all scattered radio enthusiasts at Vatakara to discuss staying together and moving together for amateur radio. As a result, the Amateur Radio and Disaster Communication Society (ARDCS) of Vatakara was established in 2011. It has been undertaking several activities over the past few years, including technical classes and demonstrations in a variety of colleges and technical institutions. We were steadfastly committed to holding JOTA JOTI every year. The club established a simplex VHF net in 2017 called the "Sand banks evening net," and in 2019 we were able to install a nice repeater station in PAYAMKUTTIMALA Vatakara on 145.825 MHz minus shift, thanks to the hard work of the club's committed members. Many thanks to all the hams across south India who assisted in creating this network.
